This is the final cut. I have completely replaced the footage with a new set. We used a set based in the Arches near the town centre where a business called New Deal had just moved out of. We used a front room where the shutters were because it had the bars frequently used in film noir. We wanted to experiment with the lighting so we had no ceiling lights on in the main part of the sequence and we just had a cheap lamp we had bought from Argos a few hours previously (the lady at the counter loved the suit).

Evaluation
Evaluation on Prezi
This is the evaluation. This covers the genre of film noir and mentions the different conventions we used in our film and how we did the things to make our final sequence.

Rough Cut
This was the original cut for our film opening. As you can see it is quite basic and nothing interesting really happens. The Characters are wearing suits and it is a creepy place so it suits the film noir genre. The only problem is that the timing when we filmed wasn't very good because it went dark in about half an hour so it is as if we are in a video game, where time passes incredibly quickly (this was ideal for where Daniel was on the phone because there are a lot of scenes in noir films where there is a phone call in a phone booth in poor light or under a lamp post). The second scene isn't very much like Film Noir, it was filmed in college because we couldn't think of anywhere else to film it and it isn't as good as we could have made it if we played around with lighting.
Prelim
This is my preliminary task that I did shortly after joining the college. It was a good experiment because it gave us experience with working the different equipment and using the editing software on the macs. It is meant to be comedy based because it is mainly based on stupid ideas thought up on the set. We didn't really have any plan or anything to work from other than someone having to be interviewed by the police. It is really just me beating up someone and being caught (you may notice a slight continuity error where I have my hood up in one shot and then it is suddenly down in the next as I run off).
The next scene is where the two police walk into the room while I am trying to act like a hard man with my feet on the table. I am then shown up and have the living daylights scared out of me from one of the police officers. The aim of the film was to get across how stupid some chavs really are. The whole "have you seen this man?" and then I reply claiming I do not know him, even though I asked if it was Terry Fisher, proving I do know him.
We used a vary of shots in the sequence mainly match on action, when the door handle turns and when the paper is slammed down on the table. Also a long shot is used at the beginning where you see the victim walking towards the camera listening to music before the chavy ninja jumps him. We also had to keep the 180 rule and we did that fine, another thing we had to do was shot reverse shot, which we did whenever a different character spoke.

How I Made the Logo
To make the logo I used photoshop. We wanted to make it serious but funny at the same time. This is why we made a pig wear a top hat and have a cane because it was a comedy character in smart attire.

Logo
This is the final logo. As you can see it is pretty awesome. I positioned the words "Swarve Pig Productions" so that the S on Swarve looked like a beard for the piggy.
